Hello, Hola, Bonjour, Ni hao, what's up!
I'm Jessica Turner, born and raised in Southern California, USA. For as long as I can remember, diversity has influenced and taught me a lot about people, culture, and our environment. I am a graduate from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) from the Los Angeles campus, my focused studies and major in Visual Communication. The experience was inspirational and eye opening, so many "aha moments" followed by "I get it" and then "I know exactly what to do with it".
I am excited to apply the practical knowledge and skills taught by my instructors and my family. In my time apart from blogging I am a freelance Fashion Stylist, Visual Merchandiser and Photographer. Stepping back a bit, I come from a blended family, my father is African American, my mother is Mexican American, my step-father is Filipino American. So, growing up I had a lot of aha moments. From an early age, I learned to navigate and appreciate the differences of my heritage and how it impacted my view about the world we share.
