Today I had a refreshing afternoon, I had my roots done! Those of you girls who need to get your roots done monthly you understand that feeling of leaving a salon with fresh roots! (My natural hair color is black for those of you wondering). I have been so blessed my whole hair life to have my mother as my hair stylist, she has been there since the beginning, (literally!) understands my mixed hair problems, and hair goals that I want to achieve. For the summer this fresh cut, light brown hair color, and highlights has been the perfect hairstyle/cut. I have natural curly, and very thick hair so I always have natural volume with any hairstyle I pull off. I enjoy this short haircut because it's refreshing for my curls to get trimmed off every month, and easy for me to manage with straightening or adding curls especially while dealing with California heat!
The other images posted are photos I captured throughout this gorgeous salon, Neihule located in Downtown Los Angeles. By clicking any of the salon photos it will take you straight to their site if you want to check them out! Their salon is gorgeous, clean, and has the best staff on site!

This event was one word, yummy! I attended this event through an invite, it took place at the newest apartments in Downtown Los Angeles 8th & Grand. Tender Greens catered this event, all of the food was passed around by waiters which I personally loved because it made the event high end and exclusive. I also enjoyed this touch because it welcomed me as a guest and I felt comfortable right from the start of the event.
The first picture is goodie bags from Bliss and Tender Greens, I know right?! The Bliss bag was filled with their newest products and a brochure, and the Tender Greens bag was just a swag bag with also a brochure type of note from their company.
The second picture is small cups of Farro wheat tossed with heirloom cherry tomatoes, balsamic red onions, corn & basil. This was an interesting appetizer, it was very light with a savory taste, but interesting to my personal taste because it made with wheat! So I kept tasting wheat, but the onions and basil added a nice after taste.
The fourth picture is my personal favorite, avocado toast! Tender Greens version of it is still healthy but yet still has that signature creamy and chunky taste. I am definitely dropping by the nearest Tender Greens restaurant near me to get the full plate.
The fifth picture is the one and only Bottega Louie, they also provided catering. This event seemed as if it was catering my personal favorite Downtown Los Angeles restaurants. The catering included their signature macaroons. Bottega Louie, is a must if you're visiting the city!
The last two pictures are the beverages they provided. The Hibiscus tea was provided from Tender Greens, I didn't get my hands on any but did look refreshing!

Hello again, here's some tips on how I wear these silk, open flare pants. I paired it with one of my favorite go-to hats to add a more chic-look, also side note anytime I wear this hat I feel so Harajuki-ish!(Tokyo based style). Another great outfit tip that I would give anyone that is trying to pull off a unique piece is pair it with a plain tee, or pant! Here I wore a plain, long grey tee to go with my casual look. Lastly wearing my black fringe backpack, and all star Adidas completes this casual sporty look.
Choker: Aldo(Worn backwards)
Grey tee: Zara
Shoes: All-star Adidas
Backpack: Victoria Secret(I know right?!)

On a sunny afternoon, I decided to stroll down DTLA to grab a quick lunch (aka while searching for Pokemon) and we stopped by Guisdado's Tacos. This is my second time eating here and was just as good. One tip I will add is that the tacos are super yummy/tasty, but if you're more into authentic tacos this place may not be for you. My BF and I were both raised by full mexican mother's who taught us what real mexican is all about. Other than that we still enjoyed this quick bite, and deff recommend it if you're in the city!
Tacos: Taco Sampler
Tacos on right: Shrimp & Steak Bisteak

One of the latest trends that hasn't faded away that I am personally soaking in as long as I can, is the Boyfriend Jeans. This photo diary was shot at Grand Park, Downtown Los Angeles one of my favorite all time parks(Echo Park is second on list, also based in Los Angeles). This look is an easy, & effortless look that I wear in multiple ways all summer. Boyfriend jeans, a loose white wash tee or blouse, and booties or evensneakers(80% of the time).
-Jeans: Zara (BF fit)
-Blouse: BCBG Maxaria
-Watch: Michael Kors (my favorite accessory, 3 years strong)
-Hair: Small, thin curling iron(not wand, a curling iron!) = My version of beachy waves!
